Chartwell Notes An exploration of the ways in which musical annotations would have affected the artist's process; Katki renders and executes hand embroidery during simultaneous 'annotations' of Zoroastrian Fire Temple sounds. Namely through colour, line and form that have here been disassembled in strange oblique configurations. They suggest escape or transcendence from states of formality and restraint. This was an attempt to capture a brief (four bar) moment in musical time, rather than a definitive state of being. - Areez Katki
