Chartwell Notes
Purchased from the Les and Milly Paris Collection. Note on the work from Les Paris says:"Purchased from Peter McLeavey Gallery, Wellington, 27 September 1993 after viewing with Milly (had placed option on work previous day at exhibition opening)."
Note from Marie Shannon "I think DC Day is a reference to the Charles Tole painting of the same name. This work is now in the Te papa Collection and Julian liked it very much. DC Day is Decimal currency Day, 10 July 1967, when NZ changed to decimal currency." 1/10/2012.
