These works were exhibited at Hamish McKay Gallery in Wellington, New Zealand. The artist wrote the following notes:
"In March 2001, my son Leo and I travelled with Leo's father, Julian
Dashper, to the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas, where Julian was to
spend 10 weeks as an Artist in Residence. Leo and I spent much of our
time there sketching the landscape, the furniture, the architectural
spaces, and the works in the collection. Leo was 4 1/2 at the time. The
four prints that comprise the work, "Leo's Sketchbook" are digital inkjet
prints of my photographs of Leo's drawings of sculptures by Richard Long,
Donald Judd, Coosje van Bruggen and Claes Oldenberg, and an architectural
interior altered by Donald Judd".
