Phil Dadson
In January 2003, Phil Dadson received an Antarctic New Zealand Artist Fellowship to travel into the Dry Vallerys region of Antartica, to record video and sound material towards a series of video/sound works - The Polar Projects- and for a radiophonic piece.

Aerial Farm

Chthonian Pulse

The artist notes that: Aerial Farm is a dvd/sound work of 11 minutes duration. It features wind generated aeolian tones from a circular aerial mast and multiple wires. The video depicts the aerial mast installation of wires in a shifting and illusory graphic outline, much like an animated drawing, against a white ice background and an intermittent snow-drift foreground. The sound consists of a wide frequency band of wire tones, activated by a 50K wind.
