Ben Cauchi

Ben Cauchi is a New Zealand born, Berlin based fine art photographer, specialising in the use of early photographic techniques, most notably the wet collodion or ambrotype process. Cauchi's work has been exhibited widely both nationally and internationally, including recent solo exhibitions in Auckland, Berlin, Dunedin, Edinburgh, New York, Sydney, and Wellington.

In 2012-2013 he was awarded the Creative New Zealand Visual Arts Residency at the Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin. His work is represented in numerous public art collections across the globe, including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, AU; Christchurch Art Gallery, NZ; Dunedin Public Art Gallery, NZ; Govett-Brewster Art Gallery, NZ; Musée de l’Elysée, CH; Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa, NZ, and the National Gallery of Australia, AU.
